RnB tones straight out of London, suited and booted, always ready to put on a show.

RnB Knights is the perfect band for those who love both old skool and new skool RnB vibes. The band is flexible in lineup and can come in a compact trio, or a brassy 6-piece for all of those horn lovers out there.

The band has a setlist that they’re well-versed in, and perform to a T each time. You’re also welcome to request three additional songs, which the band will learn for you, which means every performance has a bespoke element to it.

RnB Knights’s strengths lie in being tight, well-rehearsed, and truly loving what they do. Their passion is clear when they perform - not only do they fully give themselves to the music, they get down to it too and bring their whole audience with them in their groove. RnB Knights’s standard lineup is lead vocals/guitar, bass/backing vocals, and drums/backing vocals. The band can upsize by adding saxophone, trumpet and trombone to their lineup. Clients love RnB Knights’s performances, with gushing reviews like “you literally made the day”.

RnB Knights is fronted by Rya (pronounced: rye-ah). Rya started playing before he hit his teens, coming from a household that was deeply immersed in the jazz and garage scene. Since then Rya has developed his musical abilities to the point where he can proudly say he’s a multiinstrumentalist, able to switch between drums, bass, guitar, piano, and vocals. Rya has an original project, which has achieved 70,000+ streams across 100 countries on Spotify. Rya can often be found performing around London as a solo performer at many venues including the famous Notting Hill Arts Club. Rya has even been on the BBC Introducing stage, and receives regular radio play for his original project. His inspirations come from artists like Anderson .Paak, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson.

Rya is backed by Maz on bass, Simon on drums, Becky on trumpet, Eve on saxophone, and Steph on trombone. Their musical credentials without a doubt indicate how talented this band of musos are, some of their achievements include: completed studies at Chichester College, Leeds College of Music, the Academy of Contemporary Music, and the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar; holding the ‘trumpet chair’ for major London musicals; being part of the Lost & Found Orchestra (performing for the musical Stomp); recording for Hollywood movies like Maleficent 2; performances at the iconic Sydney Opera House, Royal Festival Hall, Savoy Theatre, Wembley, various O2 Academies, and the Royal Albert Hall; performances at Shindig Festival, Bestival, Glastonbury; performances alongside and supporting Ronan Keating, Grace Jones, Toploader and Republica; and performances on ITV for the Lionesses’s 2022 celebration party. They really have put in the work over the years, so you can rest assured that you’ve got some top class musicians performing for you on your night.
Upon booking, you will have a dedicated band manager as your point of contact to ensure the band is 100% on the same page as you well in advance of your event. Having this point of contact means you can count on excellent, fast, friendly, and warm communication at all times. It also means that come the big day every single crease will be ironed out and it will mean smooth sailing for both client and band alike.
All in all, RnB Knights’s band members are a very friendly and flexible bunch and take great pride in providing excellent musicianship and creating a really fun atmosphere wherever they go. The band can play complimentary playlist music (which you are welcome to tailor) before, in-between, and after live sets until curfew. The band can be on-site for up to 7 hours, or until midnight as standard. They are happy to accommodate early arrivals before 5pm and late stays after midnight if needed too. The band is able to provide a band member DJ-ing should you wish to have a live DJ before, between, or after band sets. The band brings a full PA and lighting rig with them wherever they go, so all you need to do is book the band and you can tick the entertainment off your to-do list in one fell swoop because RnB Knights will have you covered.
